Second Day (25 May, Wednesday)

  • What did you do today?
    • We learnt about how a generator works and we tried it out
  • What did you learn today?
    • I learnt that there is also a Fleming's right-hand rule
  • How do you feel about today’s activities?
    • A generator is applied in any power plants (e.g. hydroelectric dams)

First Day (24 May, Tuesday)

  • What did you do today?
    • We built the DC motor and learnt about the theories behind it (e.g. Fleming's left-hand rule)
  • What did you learn today?
    • I learn more about the DC motor and how the DC motor works
  • How do you feel about today’s activities?
    • At first, the theories were quite confusing and hard to understand but after consulting the professor and the student helpers, I understand it much better
    • I thought that DC motors are actually very easy and comprehensive but after going through it, there are many concepts to understand and it may be confusing at times.

Pre-camp (23 May, Monday)

  • What sounds interesting about this project?
This projects interest me as it is based on hands-on activities and the understanding on physic theories
  • What do you think you can learn from this project?
I will learn about what is a DC motor and how does it work
